Brought in as a contract Change and Delivery Lead, I worked remotely to drive IT efficiency across a nationally distributed property development organisation. Collaborating with teams across multiple regions and departments, I led process improvement initiatives spanning platforms like Salesforce, SharePoint, Access Coins ERP, and Novade — all while building training tools and business cases that delivered lasting operational value.

Driving IT Efficiency Through Process Optimisation and Training

The Challenge

The client, a major player in the UK property development sector, was facing fragmented processes across platforms such as SharePoint, Salesforce, Access Coins ERP, and Novade. These inefficiencies were slowing down teams, reducing system confidence, and affecting data consistency across the business. They needed a pragmatic, scalable approach to optimise performance and empower teams with the right tools and knowledge.

Approach

As a contract Change and Delivery Lead, I led a portfolio of improvement initiatives focused on aligning people, processes, and platforms. Working closely with operational leads and subject matter experts, we scoped key pain points, built business cases for change, and assembled the right project teams to deliver.

We combined business analysis with training and change enablement — modernising systems while equipping teams to make the most of them. Initiatives were delivered with minimal disruption, and training materials were tailored to real-world use cases to support long-term adoption.

Highlights

  • Process Review & Opportunity Scoping: Identified inefficiencies and mapped improvement opportunities across four core platforms used by the business.

  • Business Case Development: Produced clear, actionable business cases that secured stakeholder buy-in and unlocked funding for targeted change.

  • Salesforce Workflow Modernisation: Led a business analysis project to replace outdated Salesforce workflows with a modernised structure aligned to current operational needs.

  • Training & Enablement: Delivered targeted training solutions, including step-by-step user guides and instructional videos, tailored to specific platforms and user groups.

  • Construction Standards Alignment: Designed a new Novade property checklist aligned to NHBC build standards, helping to ensure compliance and consistency on-site.

The Impact

The initiatives, although not fully complete due to internal priorities changing delivered measurable improvements in efficiency, user confidence, and system adoption across multiple teams. Legacy processes were streamlined, digital tools better aligned to business needs, and staff enabled to self-serve through effective training and documentation. 

Outcome

This project highlights how targeted change, when paired with effective training and stakeholder alignment, can unlock real operational value without the need for major platform overhauls.
