Ricoh Website Re-design
Brought in as a contract Project Director, I led the end-to-end delivery of Ricoh’s EMEA website transformation while working fully remotely. With cross-functional teams based in Glasgow and Amsterdam and stakeholders spread across more than 25 countries, this project demanded clear governance, agile delivery, and careful coordination to launch a multilingual digital presence at scale.

A Pan-Regional Digital Transformation at Scale
The Challenge
Ricoh, a global leader in digital services and print innovation, set out to transform its digital presence across the EMEA region. The brief was ambitious: deliver 25 fully responsive, multilingual websites across more than 25 countries. Each site needed to align with the brand’s digital marketing goals, be localised for regional relevance, and be optimised for user experience.
Approach
As a contract Project Director, I led the full programme of work from governance and requirements definition through to regional rollout and training. Delivered using SCRUM, the project required close collaboration with stakeholders across Europe and coordination of development teams based in Glasgow and Amsterdam.
By establishing a robust Agile governance framework, we ensured transparency, flexibility, and iterative delivery, while maintaining full control of scope, budget, and risk.
Highlights
-
Agile Governance & Strategy: Designed and implemented a delivery framework tailored to the complexity of a multi-region rollout, ensuring control alongside agility.
-
UX-Led, User-Tested: Oversaw a rigorous discovery and user experience phase to ensure the sites were intuitive, performant, and conversion-focused.
-
Cross-Geography Team Management: Directed hybrid development teams across the UK and Netherlands, maintaining strong collaboration across borders and time zones.
-
Localisation at Scale: Delivered over 25 websites in multiple languages, managing content adaptation, stakeholder engagement, and training for regional teams.
-
End-to-End Delivery Oversight: Managed RAID logs, resource planning, and client reporting, ensuring visibility and confidence throughout every phase of delivery.
The Impact
The Ricoh EMEA digital estate was successfully relaunched. The new websites are modern, unified, and tailored to the needs of each market. They now serve as a core foundation for Ricoh’s digital marketing strategy across the region, supported by scalable architecture and efficient workflows.
Outcome
This project demonstrates how strong project leadership, combined with agile methodologies and effective cross-border coordination, can enable large-scale digital transformation with measurable business impact.
